The Heart of Texas Chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (HOT SHRM) serves the Waco/McLennan County area. While affiliated with National SHRM, the chapter operates independently to provide a wide variety of professional development and networking opportunities for Human Resources (HR) professionals. Membership is diverse and includes HR professionals with experience from entry to senior level.

Membership in National SHRM is separate from our chapter. While membership in National SHRM is recommended, it is not required to join our chapter. National SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 300,000 individual members, the Society serves the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive set of resources available. As an influential voice, SHRM is committed to advancing the human resource profession to ensure that HR is an essential and effective partner in developing and executing organizational strategy. Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 575 affiliated chapters within the United Sates and members in more than 165 countries.

Local HOT SHRM standard annual dues of $60.00 ($50.00 with current National SHRM membership), which does not include lunches at meetings, or premium annual dues of $260.00 ($250.00 with current National SHRM membership) which includes lunch at the general meetings for the calendar year January 1 through December 31. Membership is on an individual basis and memberships cannot be transferred. Membership is available to individuals who desire to enhance their professional career in human resources on a local level.
